Facilitating connections between Indigenous youth in disaster risk reduction.

Ngā Taura Ki a Papatūānuku is a network hosted by Te Tira Whakamātaki that seeks to encourage and support Indigenous youth participation across the globe in disaster risk reduction and to provide a space to share the work being done.

The Network's goals is to connect and inform Indigenous youth, protect them from colonial institutional harm, and stimulate systems change to better support Indigenous Peoples.

Connect.
Inform.
Protect.
Change.

The Network focuses on four main areas, all aimed at bringing Indigenous youth together to bring change.

Connect Indigenous youth across tribal and international borders and to mentors in their spaces.

Inform students and early career workers of opportunities and career pathways they may not have been aware of.

Protect each other to keep youth culturally safe inside colonial institutions and provide support when dealing with conflict.

Change systems to better support indigenous people and interests.

Join the Network, get connected.
